Come learn about cohousing, co-ops and EcoVillages with Cohousing Coaches Raines Cohen and Betsy Morris, East Bay Cohousing co-organizers. Meet other people seeking community in the area and see books and magazines explaining different community living models. Learn how you can live greener, with greater simplicity and creativity in your life. Discover how community can support child-rearing, aging in community, and just everyday life. Find out about current openings and projects underway in the area, and how to get connected. Get some social time with others on the journey.
The event will run about noon to 3; please arrive promptly for the greatest selection of dining options. If you're not participating in the potluck, please say so on the page after you RSVP and show up by 12:30.
Please clearly label all non-obvious ingredients; we'll supply dishes and silverware. Please DO NOT PARK in the lot out front (all spaces are reserved). Wheelchair access not available (there are a few steps). This is in a private home. This is not a tour, so please do not wander around the property or disturb our neighbors (not that you should do that during tours, but we find it helps to remind people to respect each others' privacy). No pets, service animals or smoking on the site. Please contact us if you need childcare to fully participate in the meeting, we may set up a cooperative fund to have someone help or help the parents self-organize. There is a kid's room there but you are responsible for supervising your own children at all times.
UPDATE 12/28: Because we want to make sure the event is accessible to all, we've dropped the price to $20 per household, rather than per individual. Or feel to bring a friend, just so long as they RSVP in advance. And, as always, 50% off for current paid East Bay Cohousing supporting members. You can join EBCOHO there at the monthly (just $20) or annual rate (save $140) to save on this and other events, get Cohousing Coaching, and a book.
If you can't make it this event, please do click the RSVP link and choose "No" so we can plan some more events like this. We're hoping to make it a regular thing. With nearly 1000 members in East Bay Cohousing (the largest intentional communities MeetUp in the world!), we know the demand is out there for the tools to find and co-create community... and we're here to make it happen.
