Meet other people seeking community in the area and see books and magazines explaining different community living models. Learn how you can live greener, with greater simplicity and creativity in your life. Discover how community can support child-rearing, aging in community, and just everyday life. Find out about current openings and projects underway in the area, and how to get connected. Get some social time with others on the journey.

Drinks provided - bring a lunch item to share or pick something up at the Berkeley Farmer's Market nextdoor. Please DO NOT PARK in the lot out front (all spaces are reserved). Use the left-hand white doorbell to get in. Wheelchair access available (use the left-hand ramp from the lot).

50% off for current paid East Bay Cohousing supporting members. Contact us to RSVP at discount rate or if you have trouble with the automatic RSVP/payment system or if you'd like to join up at the monthly (just $20) or annual rate (save $140) to save on this and other events, get Cohousing Coaching, and a book.

If you can't make it this event, please do click the RSVP link and let us know in the comments so we can plan some more events like this. We're hoping to make it a regular thing. With more than 900 members in East Bay Cohousing (the largest intentional communities MeetUp in the world!), we know the demand is out there for the tools to find and co-create community... and we're here to make it happen.

Ariana, the listed amount is a suggested donation (I've updated to make this clearer), any amount is appreciated and we are supplying drinks and a cool space. Don't let the $ request deter you.

Food was great, but more importantly, the information was abundant on a wide spectrum of related topics. As a 'newbie' to the whole idea it was an excellent introduction that provided me a proper vocabulary and an understanding of the basic differences of various kinds of 'intentional communities' such as how co-housing and co-ops. I was scribbling wildly trying to keep up with copying down all the different local organizations and names of contacts. I am extremely grateful - beyond words for all the people who dedicate themselves to improving our world, and I now count Raines and Betsy among those I know who are doing so. I hope the wisdom of these kinds of intentional communities replaces the senselessness of status quo development pabulum. Bring it on to Alameda Point! Thanks.
