Sierra Club regional chapter office (map)

Selected By: Betsy Morris

Is development always evil? Could sustainable community help save the Earth?

Come find out about Cohousing and EcoVillages, resident-led green neighborhood design, at October's Sierra Club Green Fridays with conversation facilitated by Raines Cohen and Betsy Morris, PhD, Cohousing Coaches with Planning for Sustainable Communities. See how community can help people start green and get greener, exceeding standards and fostering mutual support and education.

Betsy is a community economic development planner and volunteers as Research Director for the Cohousing Association of the United States (Coho/US). Raines, a Coho/US former boardmember, has visited 90 different cohousing neighborhoods across the U.S. The husband-and-wife team lives at Berkeley Cohousing and runs East Bay Cohousing, people connect with their neighbors, find and build communities.
