Atcheson Village potluck-potlach party (Richmond)

This location is shown only to members

EBCOHO member Megan Timberlake is hosting this Halloweenish event at her home in Atchison Village, a longtime affordable community in Richmond. Alas, we won't be able to be there, but it provides an opportunity to see this community.

PARTY, FRI, OCT 3O, 5 PM till it ends, of POTLATCH & POTLUCK. Are those related ideas? POTLATCH is what Native Americans in the NW USA held after harvests to share what they had in "a-bun-dance." They understood blessings: they gained prestige by giving. So may you!

Please bring anything you want to bring that you have in abundance, such as buns, music, love, dance-ability, toys, food (no meat, please), juice, ideas, etc., to celebrate people trying to better the Earth in any and all forms and ways. Be prepared for many points of view and walks of life.

Part of our plenty includes people's vast, interesting differences and everyone's many unusual blessings from God. PLEASE do NOT RSVP.

Address: 293 Curry at Macdonald Blvd off Richmond Pkwy. If by BART, take 72-M bus, and tell driver you want off at ATCHISON VILLAGE. PLEASE do NOT RSVP, but come if you can and want. OK to bring friends, children, and [on-leash] dogs (and they must be tied in front yard). COSTUMES ENCOURAGED. THANKS for much good you're about to do. - Megan [masked], and please NO RSVP.
