Cohousing Bus Tour: Discounted for EBCOHO members

This location is shown only to members

NEW! We are pleased to announce EBCOHO member discounts on the Halloween Cohousing bus tour, organized by the Cohousing Association of the United States (Coho/US). These tours remain the best way to visit several cohousing neighborhoods and meet other seekers, in an intensive all-day workshop-format.

This tour, the last of the year, visits:

  • Swan's Market (Oakland)
  • Muir Commons (Davis) - first new-build community in the U.S.
  • N Street Cohousing (Davis) - first 'retrofit' community in the U.S.
  • Southside Park Cohousing (Sacramento) - urban infill mixed-income
  • Pleasant Hill Cohousing (Pleasant Hill) - only 'classic' new-build development in the East Bay
  • Doyle Street Cohousing (Emeryville) - first cohousing neighborhood in the Bay Area

IF you register and pay right here through the East Bay Cohousing MeetUp group, you can save $5 (vegetarian box lunch included); supporting members save $20! (supporting members, contact us to get the discount). Dues are as little as $20 a month ($100 a year is the best deal, and includes other discounts and a cohousing book some exclusive invitations to gatherings with serious cohousing seekers and professionals). This makes the tour cost as little as $85, and gets you extra connections and follow-up coaching as part of your membership. JOIN TODAY to take advantage of this great deal.

An experienced cohouser or cohousing professional will take you to visit five to seven communities. As you travel between locations on a comfortable bus, the tour leader will give participants a chance to introduce themselves, share general information about cohousing, answer questions, provide fact sheets and site plans, and prepare you for your 40-minute visit to each community.

At each stop, a community host (often a long-time resident) will guide your group through his or her neighborhood and answer questions. Mid-day, you will receive a gourmet box lunch.

Sponsored by the Cohousing Association of the United States (Coho/US). Remember, to get the discount, Reserve Your Seat by RSVPing here.

Hey, folks, this is the last bus tour of the year. If you've already got a ticket directly, please let us know and we'll update the RSVP list. Are folks here seriously interested in learning from existing sustainable communities?
