Community Facilitation Training Preview Mini-Workshop (Berkeley)

This location is shown only to members

Meet "the Firestarter!" Laird Schaub, Executive Secretary of Fellowship for Intentional Community (FIC) is coming to Berkeley, May 15-17! We're hosting him at a series of events designed to bring attention to FIC (Raines serves on the board with Laird) and give people some inexpensive hands-on experience that can help you decide whether to enroll in the quartly facilitation intensive two-year series we're hosting with Laird starting in September.

Laird, who has lived at Sand Hill Farm, a rural Missouri community, for over a quarter century, is a highly experienced communitarian, and longtime organizational development consultant who has trained and mentored 100s of communes, co-ops, cohousing neighborhoods, income sharing communities, radical families, businesses, and nonprofits -- he's seen it all and he loves to share.

Here's the line up of events - be sure to RSVP for each one individually:

  • Sat 5/15 2-6 PM: Workshop/Training (RSVP here)
Need to solidify a forming group? Is your group energy flagging or conflict bringing everyone down? Eager to experience the power of a professionally-run consensus process that can make meetings exciting and meaningful? Join Laird and Betsy in a half day "Art of Facilitating Cooperative Communities" workshop. Dynamic, experiential, and hands-on. You will also learn about the upcoming west coast intensive training series starting this fall. Limit of 20. We recommend a donation of $40 to EBCOHO ($20 for our current, paid supporting members).
  • Sat 5/15 6-7 PM: Potluck Social open to all - bring a dish to share - all are welcome; When you RSVP, please indicate the type of dish your are bringing in your RSVP comment so others can see and plan.

Click here to RSVP. Limit 30. The event is free, but the event will include a pitch for donating to FIC, with info about how and why your contributions make a difference.

Please RSVP online for each event separately using the links above.
