Bus Tour of East Bay Cohousing Neighborhoods - Discounted for EBCOHO members

This location is shown only to members

We are pleased to announce EBCOHO member discounts on the third 2010 Northern California Cohousing bus tour, organized by the Cohousing Association of the United States (Coho/US), this one staying local in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. See small retrofit-style communities in close to transit and the freeway, and the innovative models used by different architects and developers, and the region's only built-from-scratch "classic" cohousing neighborhood.

We highly recommend the bus tours as still the best way to visit several cohousing neighborhoods and meet other seekers, in an intensive all-day workshop format. Register today, as these tours often sell out well before the tour date. Since it was so much fun for the first tour, we're offering a discount to ALL EBCOHO members (as thanks for making us the largest Intentional Communities MeetUp in the world), not just our supporting members (but they get even more of a discount, so don't neglect to upgrade your membership for the most-affordable tours).

As you travel between each location on a comfortable bus, a Cohousing resident guide or two will give participants a chance to introduce themselves, share general information about cohousing, answer questions, provide fact sheets and site plans, and prepare you for your ~40-minute visit to each community. At each stop, a community host will guide your group through his or her neighborhood and answer questions. We look forward to having you join us for a day full of learning, community building and fun.

IF you register and pay right here through the East Bay Cohousing MeetUp group, you can save $5; supporting members save $10! (supporting members, contact us to get the discount). Dues are as little as $20 a month ($100 a year is the best deal, and includes other discounts and a cohousing book some exclusive invitations to gatherings with serious cohousing seekers and professionals). This makes the tour cost as little as $85, and gets you extra connections and follow-up coaching as part of your membership. JOIN TODAY to take advantage of this great deal.
You can also register directly via the cohousing association national website tours page if you want to pay the regular retail price -- remember, you get the discount with your FREE East Bay Cohousing membership only if you register via the ebcoho.org website using the link at the bottom of this message.

This tour will be co-led by two knowledgeable cohousing residents, both local. We will eat lunch at one of our host communities - be sure to indicate if you'd like to order the $10 vegetarian box lunch on the page after. This tour will start and end at Swan's Market Cohousing - which is located near 12th Street BART subway stop and several parking lots. Specific location details will be included in your registration confirmation email.

Remember, to get the discount, Reserve Your Seat today by RSVPing and purchasing your ticket here on this page on the EBCOHO website. Supporting members, and anyone having trouble using Paypal (remember, you don't need to create a paypal account to use your credit card to pay) can contact us for assistance.

EBCOHO co-organizers/Cohousing Coaches Betsy and Raines will co-host.
