NOTE NEW VENUE as of 7/23 because we've outgrown the original space and demand remains high, we've moved across the street to a nicer place where we won't have to crowd in.
Let's Talk About Money: Many intentional communities (and cohousing neighborhoods are no exception) find themselves in conflict over financial and budget issues…and the current economic situation doesn’t help! Conflicts about money are really conflicts about values.
In this experiential workshop we will discuss how to have useful conversations about our financial values - conversations that lead to greater understanding & connection as well as more effective financial decision-making.
Please RSVP here (and pay in advance or bring a friend to get a discount) and join us Saturday morning if:
We'll charge $30 at the door, but if you pay in advance when you RSVP it's just $25. Note: RSVP today, as space is limited and advance registration is required so we can prepare.
We're offering something new: Bring a friend (or family member or random stranger) and it's just $20 each!
As usual, just half-price for EBCOHO Supporting Members ($20/month or $100/year) - Renew or Upgrade Your Membership today or at the event to save on this and other events, get Cohousing Coaching, a cohousing book, and other help along the way on your path to community.
The location, longtime community space The Long Haul, is just a 5-minute walk from Ashby BART and the Flea Market, on Shattuck at Woolsey, with frequent bus service stopping right out front, and several bike racks; park onstreet. It is wheelchair-accessible, and the restroom is accessible, but it is an older space with a large library of old books, in case you're sensitive to that; a member has requested that participants not wear scented products. Optional no-host lunch afterwards at one of the restaurants across the street.
Is anybody planning on coming interested in doing cooperative childcare with other parents during the event? We have a space across the street available, and at least one attendee interested. Contact Jean Weiss (click on her name on the right and use the "send message" link on her profile).
Emily, eChecks are fine. You can also bypass the paypal login and just use a credit card directly with the link at the bottom of the paypal screen. See you Saturday!
I really enjoyed connecting with old friends, meeting new people, and working/playing with you all today! Please do contact me if you have questions arise about the stuff we did today.
I didn't remember to mention my mailing list until fairly late in the day; so if you missed it and would like to be added, go here: http://www.erisweaver.info/contact.html![]()
I only do snail-mailings once or twice a year, and email no more than once a month.
Refunds offered if:
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
We have a request from a member planning to come to this workshop that participants not wear scented products, to avoid triggering allergies. In the interest of making our events as accessible to as many people as possible, I support and echo this request. Thanks!
