Swan's Market Cohousing studio loft for-sale Open House

This location is shown only to members

Unit M, a studio loft condo at Swan's Market Cohousing in the historic Old Oakland neighborhood of downtown Oakland, is for sale by owner. Come see the unit, tour the community, and discover the joys of urban living in community. Please RSVP here so you will be on the guest list at the door.

The Open House will run from 2-5 PM; you may want to stick around for the Graham Meltzer talk on Sustainability in Community in the solar-powered Common House afterwards (see separate event listing).

The community is at 930 Clay Street, between 9th and 10th streets just west of Broadway, near 12th Street BART.

The studio loft, 930 Clay Street, Unit M, is for sale at $399,000. Swan's Market Cohousing is a 20-unit mixed-age diverse community.

The 720sf (approx) 1 bathroom unit has had one owner since it was constructed in 2000 (within the 1917 National Register of Historic Places-listed Swan's Market building in Historic Old Oakland neighborhood), and has been rented out for the last two years, including to a couple with a baby, although it would be most comfortable for a single resident or two very close people without a lot of stuff; exclusive use of a single parking space and storage is included, along with shared use of the Common House, workshop, exercise room, guest room, laundry room, and garden.

Monthly HOA dues are currently $233.66 including all utilities except electricity; the association reserves are fully funded.

The owner hopes to sell to someone interested in living there (not just renting it out) and participating in community work, meetings, and common meals.
