Introduction

Co - owner needed to save our ranch duplex. It's over .25 acre in Alameda – gardens, drip irrigation, pathways w/lavender, passionflower, fruit trees, willow, sitting areas, ponds w/ solar waterfall, hens, honey bees hot tub, tranquility...

How did you hear about East Bay Cohousing?

I 1st learned of EBCoHo thru a Craigslist co-op ad. ...I never knew all that is going on... Many thanks to all who work on improving our society 1 small community at a time.

What does Cohousing mean to you?

Shared investment - not just ownership also socially invested in home community. Shared responsiblities, awareness, caring, and helping, - but within limits - also must respect for 'personal space'. Ability to communicate and work together a must!

What's most likely: Rent, Buy, Share, Build, Co-create?

Intent is affordable buy-in, & want to save Alameda ranch duplex. Wife just wants equity in divorce. Looking for creative ideas, but city has residential limits - It can't be more than a duplex legally. Has 1200 sf garage shop. Unique opportunity.

Where are you most interested in living?

Alameda / Berkeley

What David K is saying about this Meetup Group

All levels of opportunies exist for home ownership in communities of liked-minded people. The trick is in getting the right people together at the right time to improve the planet, one neigborhood at a time. This group tries to do that and if you find an opportunity that doesn't work for you, pehaps you can tell someone who will benefit. In fact such discussions with others may help you to find what you are looking for. It is all part of the exchange of ideas, and that is how we make this a better world.
