Introduction

Hi, I'm Rebecca Rhine, a real estate agent who loves working with first time buyers and likes doing unusual deals, as well as more routine transactions. I am a big supporter of cohousing, group living and other alternative forms of community.

How did you hear about East Bay Cohousing?

From a friend who is looking for a cohousing opportunity.

What does Cohousing mean to you?

Community is what Cohousing menas to me, in whatever form people wish to participate.

What's most likely: Rent, Buy, Share, Build, Co-create?

I own my little house and am not looking to change my living situation but like helping those who are looking to buy, co-create, or do something else creative.

Where are you most interested in living?

I'm staying in Oakland, where I live now.

  • Dear Rebecca,

Thanks for telling me about this property. I'd actually prefer to be in Berkeley if possible. Please let me know if you should hear of adjacent properties in Berkeley where if there isn't an old carriage house in the back, there would be space build an art studio that could double as a small performance space.

    Thanks,
    Jamie

  • Welcome to East Bay Cohousing, Rebecca. It was great to have you at our intro and orientation Saturday. We're looking forward to seeing how we can help more people through the process of transforming suitable sites into sustainable communities. Let's explore whether first-time homebuyer programs can help get a qualified group together and into a new cohousing neighborhood.
