Introduction

Cohousing resonates for me. Specifically, I want to learn more about what's happening in the E Bay, where we're hoping to relocate. Retrofitting excites me the most.

How did you hear about East Bay Cohousing?

Through the Intentional Communities website.

What does Cohousing mean to you?

Synergy! Getting to know my neighbors better than I can now. Enriching ourselves through sharing resources. Cooking for others & having the favor returned.

What's most likely: Rent, Buy, Share, Build, Co-create?

Co-create, if I understand the question. Retrofitting is my preferred approach.

Where are you most interested in living?

Urban East Bay (with access to BART/ Amtrak Capitol Corridor line): Alameda, Oakland, Richmond Annex/El Cerrito.

  • Welcome back to EBCOHO, Patsy. We've got a lot of events going on to support your search for community, and we're eager to see you at one. Join us when you get a chance. I just visited Temescal Creek coho today giving a private tour, and it is growing using the retrofit model.

  • Welcome to East Bay Cohousing, Patsy. I, too, am a big believer in the power of synergy; in fact, I just took the Amtrak Capitol train from Sacramento this evening after visiting cohousing there for a few days. Enjoy the North Oakland orientation, and be sure to share your impressions here afterwards.
