  •  The main focus of our house, called Hogan House www.hoganhouse.org, is food. There are seven residents, five of us cook a weekly dinner for the house, one does the shopping from a common list, and one job is currently under negotiation. I saw the bus tour and I wish I could go but I have plans for March 20th already. Next time... I hear there are bike tours of east bay cohousing too?

  •  Thanks for your greeting, Raines!
I'm looking for a community living or shared household situation in the east bay (berkeley/north oakland). I've been interested in cohousing and sustainable living for a long time.

  •  Hi Raines, I would be happy to talk about my Winslow Cohousing experience next time I am in the Bay Area. I have also been involved with Bellingham Cohousing, and my Master of Architecture Degree from RISD involved Cohousing. I am here about every 3 months to visit my Daughter's family.

  •  Hi Raines,

Very sorry to be slow to respond. I just figured out how to make these work!

I agree about the overlap with Transition, and several of our members, including the co-founders, are permaculture-trained. I also note that the Transition paperwork recommends that at least one member of an initiating group has permaculture training. Glad we're covered on that one, and hope to meet you soon.

    Cheers,

    Bud

  •  We are looking to assemble a large group of singles who will take over an existing SRO and make it a Condo. How do we find interested people?

  •  Many thanks to you and Betsy for a great afternoon. We're not irrevocably tied to Marin/Sonoma - it's just been on our radar because we love the land up there. We're really open to just about anything at this point, and look forward to meeting more folks and learning about new opportunities here. Thanks for all your work!

  •  Hi Raines

I am very interested in the meeting. I am dog and cat allergic so I need to check if the meeting is being held in a pet free room. I love the little critters so not spending time with them is a drag. Thanks.

  •  Hello Raines,

I getting to know people in the sustainable and eco-investing arena, and growing a community of alternative transportation industry-advocacy. Your bio mentions your co-founding the Hub and wondering if you know of people interested in enriching themselves voluntarily by being part of this team.

    Regards,
