Excited to find your site to aid in cohousing search. I'm newly single, 65, do basic biomedical research, am active in Community Chorus, lived in collectives before, and learned from watching a friend building a cohousing project in Sacramento.

Multi-generational community with efficient use of resources, both environment and human; giving back to the community.
Buy or co-create.
In the East Bay, near public transit and good community resources, relatively flat for biking, not on top of the Hayward Fault.
This is a terrifically efficient way to get a tremendous amount of helpful information, if you are interested in cohousing in any way.

Hey Lisa
Welcome to the group. I'm sure this sport will offer many of your goals and expectations. And the marina is a beautiful place to practice. I see that you signed up for tonight's practice. As a FYI, if it's raining, practices are cancelled.
Hope to catch up with you soon.
Hi Lisa, I just joined the group.

Lisa, thanks for your feedback on the slide show. I'll take responsibility for getting the time wrong; it was originally posted as 7:30 and then they changed it to 7 and our site didn't reflect that as fast as it should have. I'll be happy to give you the basics of what she covered in the first part sometime. My understandingis
that the only handout at the beginning was from the Roehnert Park group (Sonoma County).
Welcome, Lisa! Since you're not alone in being pretty busy weekdays (few of us meet the stereotype of being retired and just sitting around all the time), perhaps you can make it to an evening group dinner sometime to meet folks without taking lots of time, seeing existing cohousing when we gather there.
