We are
Addison Court Housing Cooperative Inc., a
limited-equity housing cooperative in
West Berkeley, set up under the auspices of
Northern California Land Trust (
NCLT).
We are a diverse group of people operating with a
majority democracy. Monthly meetings, quarterly work days, shared maintenance duties (but
not meals).
Our Co-op is set up for people with
low/moderate income.
Members buy a share which entitles them to live in a unit.
All
ten units are small (
520 Sq. ft.) private one-bedroom apartments, ground floor (
but up some steps), attached, with garden space and outdoor storage space. We are
owner-occupied only.
We are looking for a community-minded person willing to
PARTICIPATE FULLY in cooperative activities.
Learn more (
free EBCOHO membership required)
HUD (
the Department of Housing and Urban Development, which helped finance the creation of the co-op through the city) requires that you show
