Announcing a new Meetup for East Bay Cohousing - Berkeley/Oakland/Emeryville/SF area!

What: Organic & Sustainable Gardening (Sierra Club Green Friday potluck, W. Berkeley)

When: September 11, 2009 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Where:
Sierra Club regional chapter office
2530 San Pablo Ave.
Berkeley, CA 94702

We'll be presenting on cohousing at the October version of this Sierra Club regional chapter series -- and it turns out that our friend Lisa, one of our Berkeley Cohousing neighbors, is presenting in September, and we'll bring along our Portland, Oregon-based guest Leonard Barrett, the presenter for our weekend Permaculture for Renters workshop we're hosting in the EBCOHO clubhouse and at an area cohousing community -- Raines P.S. I'll be leaving a little early to go to Chuck Durrett's Senior Cohousing talk/slideshow that same evening, just a short bike ride away at Builder's Booksource on 4th Street near Hearst

Sep 11 · Fri · 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm · Northern Alameda County Group
Green Friday Potluck: Organic & Sustainable Gardening.

Berkeley Cohousing founding member Lisa Carey, owner of SageStone Sustainable Landscapes, will discuss ways to care for a garden in a sustainable and Bay Friendly way through giving ourselves, our children, future generations and the critters that share our gardens the gift of life.

Come learn ways to keep us all healthy while enjoying the beauty and fun of having a garden

Lisa Carey has been on the path of Organic Gardening for over three decades and believes that now is the time to rethink how we go about creating and maintaining the beauty in our yards, businesses, and parks. As the owner of SageStone Sustainable Landscapes, she is committed to creating beauty and health in our gardens while adhering to principles she uses as a certified Bay Friendly Landscape Company.

Cost: Free.

Bring: The Northern Alameda County Group's "Green Friday" events combine interesting speakers with potlucks; please bring a healthy dish to share. Beverages and tableware will be provided.
