Announcing a new Meetup for East Bay Cohousing!

What: Solano Stroll tabling w/Elders' Guild - fun community outreach

When: September 13, 2009 12:00 - 5:00 PM (and setup/breakdown before/after)

Where:
Solano Stroll
Solano Avenue (exact booth location to be determined)
Berkeley or Albany, CA 94710

East Bay Cohousing will be once again participating in a booth at the mile-long Solano Stroll this Sunday with the Elders' Guild, and you are invited to drop by and join in the fun, meet Guild organizers, talk about cohousing opportunities in the area (intergenerational and senior cohousing), and even get some free Cohousing Coaching if you're willing to volunteer in the booth for a bit. All ages welcome.

From participating in the Stroll on and off for the past two decades, we've found it's a great place to run into old friends, make new ones, get people excited about the potential for community living, recruit new members, promote upcoming events, hear great music, see exciting performances, sample yummy cuisine, and generally have a blast.

No previous cohousing experience required -- you can learn on the job.

We don't have the booth # yet, but generally it is somewhere around the middle of Solano. Check back on this listing for updates -- we'll email everyone who RSVPs the exact address.

Free shuttles run 10AM-7PM from the North Berkeley BART station to Marin Avenue which runs parallel, one block South of Solano Avenue. The shuttle runs up and down Marin and stops at the intersections with stoplights (until San Pablo Avenue). Wait times average from 20 to 40 minutes. Shuttles are wheelchair accessible and are provided courtesy of our event sponsors. Please support them.

Ride your bike and enjoy free valet parking at two locations on Solano Avenue, Wells Fargo Bank on upper Solano, and by Zarri's Delicatessen on lower Solano Avenue. Thank you to the East Bay Bicycle Coalition and the Albany "Strollers and Rollers" for continuing to provide this wonderful accommodation.

Vehicles with disabled parking (blue) plates/placards can park at Solano and The Alameda.

You can also use AC Transit bus numbers #18, #72, or #79.
