Announcing a new Meetup for East Bay Cohousing! (and our week-at-a-glance calendar)

What: Cohousing-esque Co-op apt open house Sun (Gourmet Ghetto, North Berkeley)

When: September 20, 2009 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Where:
Oxford St. (Unnamed) Co-Op
1590 Oxford St. Unit E
Berkeley, CA 94709
[masked]

EBCOHO friend Barbara Hendrickson is representing a unit for sale in a long-established small unnamed cooperative community in Berkeley (near campus and North Shattuck). I got to visit last week, and while it is not cohousing, it is an accessible apartment where neighbors do potlucks with each other and shared workdays and shared outdoor/garden space and some cohousing-type community, and the price is now under $500k.

If this is what you're looking for, take a peek, and when you go to purchase, unless you've already got a buyer's agent, we'd appreciate it if you use an EBCOHO member agent to represent your interests, one who supports what we're doing to build community. The listing is below, followed by our listing of other events this week... we're keeping busy! -- Raines
