EBCOHO Happy Hour this evening & General Meeting/brunch Sunday (Old Oakland)

Announcing TWO new Meetups for East Bay Cohousing!

First: EBCOHO Happy Hour (Old Oakland)
When: THIS EVENING Saturday, January 30, 2010 4:45 - 5:30 PM

Where:
Pacific Coast Brewing Company
906 Washington St @ 9th St (across from Swan's Market Cohousing)
Oakland, CA 94607

Sometimes, in the search for sustainable community living in the East Bay, it's time to say "Enough with all the business meetings, fire-drills around potential cohousing homes for sale, potential foreclosures, short sales, and divorce forced-sales, briefings, explorations, and tours."

Sometimes, a social is really what we need, a chance to hang out and get to know one another in ways that can lead to unexpected connections and community.

After the North Oakland Cohousing orientation this afternoon at Swan's Market Cohousing (whether or not you're going to or interested in that event), let's meet across the street to just hang out and catch up. No-host bar, but we may go in together on some munchies. They make a mean root beer, and have some decent pub grub.

Learn more and RSVP here (we'll probably get some last-minute additions from the North Oakland orientation):

Second: EBCOHO General Meeting and Potluck Brunch
When: Sunday (tomorrow), 11:30 for brunch, 12:30 for meeting
Where: Swan's Market Cohousing common house (RSVP below for address & info)

And then tomorrow (Sunday), longtime EBCOHO member Dave K., who rents at Swan's, has invited us back to have an East Bay Cohousing General Meeting there in the Common House, starting at 11:30 AM with a potluck brunch, followed by a chance to learn about all the different groups, openings, and potential sites around the area.
