Fort Awesome

The house is rich with nice, sustainability-minded people.

Dinner is cooked five nights a week for everyone by different people at the house!

The house is solar powered! They have chickens (no roosters) and a
garden from which they grow veggies. The house is but a few blocks
from the Ashby Bart station. And Berkeley Bowl (possibly the greatest
market in the world) is but a few blocks away as well.

EBCOHO Supporting Member Jack Sawyer of the Parker Street Foundation was instrumental in the founding and financing of the house, and Fort Radical next door, part of Cooperative Roots.

A December Sublet is available (as of 11/27/11). (free EBCOHO/MeetUp membership & login required)
