Parker Street

Parker Street Co-op is a limited equity ("affordable") housing co-op in South Berkeley.
For more information on a recent (September, 2010) opening at Parker Street (since filled), click here (EBCOHO/MeetUp login required; join EBCOHO for free if you're not already a member).
The residents are the sole shareholders in a non-profit corporation that owns our two buildings of 24 mostly one-bedroom units, with a few studios and two bedrooms.

We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic co-op with people from diverse backgrounds and geographies. Because there is no outside landlord, we run the buildings ourselves, participate in order to keep costs low, and enjoy a rich life of community at rates that are now far below market for the Bay Area.
Our location at 2335-2341 Parker Street is very walkable and has bus access to BART, or a 12 block walk to BART.

We seek handy people who are environmentally responsible, seeking community, and able and willing to participate to help us keep the Co-op the wonderful place to live that it has been for the last 20+ years.

Here's our Communities Directory entry.
