Prudence Crandall

Our 11-room craftsman-style cooperative house is a stable household of 5 adults with one room becoming available (free EBCOHO membership & login required to view). We are one very happy 5 2/3 year old girl, 3 women, 2 men, ages 32, 34, 48, 54, 66. Reasonably quiet house and a VERY pedestrian/bicycle friendly neighborhood.

Our home enjoys great sunlight in the front as well as back yard. Inside, our home offers a generous amount of common space throughout, a WAY organized kitchen, a comfy living room, as well as a spacious dining room, all with lots of sun. We have two full bathrooms, as well as two full-sized fridges, and a front loader (clothes washer) and dryer. Our raised garden beds flourished with vegetables, berries and fruit trees. In the winter, we often light a fire in the wood-burning stove and keep our utility bill lower with our solar electric panels, solar water heater, and hydronic heater systems.

We are in North Oakland, one mile from the U. of Ca., Berkeley, near Telegraph and Ashby Avenues. 0.7 miles from Ashby & Rockridge BART.
