East Bay Cohousing

It's National Cohousing Open House Weekend! Lots of communities will be doing tours and events, both in person and virtual. 

Join EBCOHO co-organizer, Cohousing Coach Raines Cohen in the Common House at his home community, Berkeley Cohousing, for fresh-baked Boichik Bagels (plus other healthy food and drink) and a chance to plan your path to community.

Meet some other community members (including co-founder Alice, right, who is looking forward to showing you her home) and community seekers, and get a look around at this3 0-year-old community and see some of its history. Learn about its innovations in sustainability and affordability. Get info on cohousing workshops, area openings and opportunities, and how to get your own community going.

Between 12 and 1 PM, get hands on with the EcoVillage Design Cards from the Global EcoVillage Network with Cohousing Coach / EcoVillage Ambassador Betsy Morris.

This event is limited-capacity, advance ticket purchase required. Discounts if you bring a friend: $30 for two for the 30th anniversary!

Please do not arrive outside of listed event hours or wander the grounds separately from the group -- our neighbors love their privacy.

There will be no formal program in the first hour, so feel free to arrive when it is convenient (the bagels are first-come first-serve, though). No pets or smoking of anything onsite. Please park on street, or better yet walk or bike (we have bike racks to the right of the Common House) or take BART (North Berkeley is 5 blocks away) or bus (AC Transit 88 stops out front).
