The California Community Land Trust Network (CaCLT Network) Supports The Growth Of Permanently Affordable, Community Controlled Land And Housing In California.
Cohousing Open Network Note*: While most California cohousing neighborhoods are market-rate condos, there are some communities that are designed for permanently affordable housing, including using CLT partnerships. By separating out the land cost, the resulting condos/coops can be much more affordable, while retaining private homeownership and the ability to get conventional low-rate mortgages to finance them.*
This event is not focused on cohousing, but rather on the building block, the legal/economic tool that makes it possible.
