Affordable Housing Month

East Bay Cohousing is proud to once again be a participant and partner in Affordable Housing Month, organized by East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO), of which we are a longtime member.
Every May, EBHO calls attention to projects around the East Bay that include below-market housing, including:- Dedicated affordable housing projects, both intergenerational and for seniors
- Community Land Trust-based permanently-affordable projects, some including homeownership.
- Limited-Equity Housing Coops (LEHCs)
- Alternative building and finance models
- Cohousing that (like most in the East Bay) includes affordable homes
We're delighted to offer some cohousing-specific events this year, and call attention to others that we think are in related areas and/or of interest to our members.
Come back to this page as the list grows once the official Affordable Housing Month calendar is published.

Partner Events
We know we’re not the only game in town
And we’re glad, because there’s no way we can do it all ourselves!
Here’s where we list events organized by our partners, such as:
- East Bay Permaculture Guild
- Other regional and national cohousing groups
- Global EcoVillage Network
- Sustainable Economies Law Center
- Gray Panthers of Berkeley and the East Bay
Your related events could be here too. Ask us about how to work with East Bay Cohousing.

Oakland
Here’s what’s happening in the world of cohousing around Oakland, California.
Please pay close attention to whether listed events are virtual or in-person, and if the latter, what precautions to observe; in many cases, advance RSVPs are required to attend.
